Micro Specialties' Global Modem remote data modem offers complete, low power solutions to data collection requirements in very remote locations and harsh environments.   Global Modem communicates using the SBD subnet of the Iridium global network, providing inexpensive, reliable data communications from virtually any point on earth. The Iridium network's constellation of 66 true polar orbiting satellites provides communications across the entire globe.

Virtually any environmental sensor set may be managed directly with Campbell Scientific's fabulous CR1000 data logger.. Sensor data is then automatically relayed by the Global Modem to MSI's data center where the sensor data reports are archived and/or distributed per customer requirements.
